Terms of use

These terms apply when you use Grad ML (ml.grad.lk), a free machine learning course developed and run by Vimuthu Wijesiriwardana in Sri Lanka (“we”). By creating an account you agree to them. In short:
- Grad ML is free, for learning.
- Be fair: don't misuse the site or other people's accounts.
- Tests help you learn; they aren't a qualification.
Your account
- Use a real email address you can open. We use it to confirm your account and to reset your password.
- Keep your password to yourself. One account is for one person.
- If you're under 18, ask a parent or guardian before you sign up.
- You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard.
Using Grad ML fairly
Please don't:
- try to get into other people's accounts or data, or into parts of the site you're not meant to reach;
- overload, attack or disrupt the site, or create accounts automatically;
- copy other learners' data or scrape the site;
- use Grad ML for anything illegal.
We may suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.
Tests and marks
Lesson checks and module tests are there to help you learn and to unlock the next module. Grad ML doesn't issue certificates, and your marks aren't a qualification.
Course content
- We work hard to keep the lessons accurate, but they're for learning and may contain mistakes. They aren't professional advice.
- The lessons, interactive labs, tests and the Gradie character belong to Grad ML. You're welcome to use them for your own learning, and to share links to them. Please ask before republishing them.
- Videos from YouTube belong to their creators and are shown under YouTube's terms.
Changes to the service
Grad ML is free and still growing. We may add, change, pause or remove lessons and features. We'll try to keep your progress whenever we do.
Responsibility
Grad ML is provided “as is”, without guarantees that it will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses from using it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law.
Your data
The privacy policy explains what we collect, why, and how to download or delete it.
The law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Big changes will also be shown in the app.
